Developer Eric Engestrom announced yesterday the fresh release of the Mesa 23.3 open source graphics drivers.
One of the big additions this time around is the inclusion of NVK, the open source Vulkan driver for NVIDIA graphics cards. An exciting time for the future of NVIDIA on Linux, although it's still some time away from being available across more GPUs but it did reach Vulkan 1.0 conformance recently.
New extensions and features supported by Mesa 23.3:
- VK_EXT_pipeline_robustness on ANV.
- VK_KHR_maintenance5 on RADV.
- OpenGL ES 3.1 on Asahi.
- GL_ARB_compute_shader on Asahi.
- GL_ARB_shader_atomic_counters on Asahi.
- GL_ARB_shader_image_load_store on Asahi.
- GL_ARB_shader_image_size on Asahi.
- GL_ARB_shader_storage_buffer_object on Asahi.
- GL_ARB_sample_shading on Asahi.
- GL_OES_sample_variables on Asahi.
- GL_OES_shader_multisample_interpolation on Asahi.
- GL_OES_gpu_shader5 on Asahi.
- EGL_ANDROID_blob_cache works when disk caching is disabled.
- VK_KHR_cooperative_matrix on RADV/GFX11+.
The current release schedule for upcoming point releases is as follows:
- December 13, 2023 - 23.3.1.
- December 27, 2023 - 23.3.2.
- January 10, 2024 - 23.3.3.
- January 24, 2024 - 23.3.4
- February 7, 2024 - 23.3.5
- February 21, 2024 - 23.3.6

“One of the big additions” (emphasis mine) is NVK. The release contains other changes which happen to also be listed.
Asahi are doing a fantastic job of reverse engineering the M-series GPU
