The Garden Path, a quiet life sim about the joy of gardening releases Spring 2024

The Garden Path was originally due to release earlier this year, but the developer pushed it back to continue improving it and now you can again grab an early copy with a new full release window revealed.

While most of the content is complete, they're working out some performance kinks to ensure the release is great. So now their plan is to have it ready for Spring 2024.

More about it:

The Garden Path is a slice-of-life gardening sim that celebrates small moments. No matter how you decide to play, the garden is a tender world of familiar sights and sounds, mysteries, and friendly faces. A space to call your own, to curate, and to reflect.

Designed to be played in short bursts as and when you wish, time in The Garden Path runs in concert with the outside world. Stop by to wander your garden whenever the mood takes you, and find new travelers, events, activities, and distractions waiting for you each day. Take your time, play for a little while, and experience it all at your own pace.

They have a new trailer to mark the occasion:

Additionally they've opened up a few Beta keys for purchase on their itch.io page. At time of writing there's only 184 left if you wish to support development and check it early. It gives you the full game at release, since they will just continue to update it there.

It will have Native Linux support at release on itch.io and Steam.

Looks cool, do you know if you get a Steam key for purchasing the early bird copy?

Unless it says so on their page, assume no.

Looks lovely, but I hope they´re gonna fix that running-animation. Seems like a weird thing to focus on, but somehow it annoys the hell out of me already even in this short video
