It's been quite chilly here in the UK, so I've been spending a lot more time sat under a blanket with my Steam Deck OLED. If you're looking for some more Steam Deck Verified games to pick up and keep warm with too, here's a January 2024 overview of some new entries.

Something else interesting for you: the Steam Deck has been in Steam's global Top 5 sellers (based on revenue) for the last 10 weeks in a row now. Of those 10 weeks it's spent 6 of them as number 1! While we don't know exact numbers, since Valve don't give any out, it's nice to see it continue to do so well.

Recently on the Deck I've completed Unavowed and Beyond A Steel Sky, and the little one's been playing Duck Tales, Skywalker Saga and Alba. On my desktop I've been playing Parkitect.

What are your latest recommendations that people pick up and play?After having to unfortunately uninstall a handful of Capcom games due to them going back and adding DRM to old releases without warning (and without stating its presence on the games' Steam pages), I've been spending time with some of my usual go-tos for filling free minutes/hours - Brotato (Proton), Ekans (Proton), Stardew Valley (Native Linux), and, of course, Super Bomberman R 2 (Proton).
I also finally got around to completing the Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy version of Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (Proton), which I've been meaning to do for a while!
Aside from those, I've also been revisiting some old favourites via RetroDECK: Bomberman Hero (N64), Donkey Kong Country (SNES), and Star Fox (SNES).

Race 07 + DLC...... Excellent entry level racing sim with tons of different cars and tracks with the DLC...... Can be dirt cheap during the sales too...... And since its quite an old game (2007)..... Will run very well on a potato........ A very, very good entry point into the world of sim racing......
NASCAR Heat 5...... Im still running an older version since they fucked up the last DLC they released and ruined the game...... A very decent and under rated NASCAR game...... Runs well on Proton.... DLC is not really needed as its only car liveries...... Can be picked up for cheap in the sales too...... Works well on a gamepad..... Though default gamepad settings are shite....... I use these settings and its much much better.....
