Showing that the indie dream for some is alive and well, the merciless survival roguelite turn-based city builder dotAGE has managed to sell over 30,000 copies in three months. It's also now Steam Deck Verified!
The solo developer of the game, Michele Pirovano, announced the sales milestone on X (formerly Twitter) noting:
With the end of the year in sight, I am very happy to announce that dotAGE has now sold more than 30k copies on Steam! This is an indie dream made real! Not even in my wildest dreams I would have thought of reaching such a milestone!! Thank you so much for all your support!
Considering that last year we saw over 14,000 games released (the most ever in one year for Steam), it goes to show that a good game can sell well even with insane competition from developers of all sizes.
The other good news is that as of January 3rd, the game has been Steam Deck Verified by Valve! dotAGE has Native Linux support too and there's even a demo.
You can buy dotAGE on Steam. The developer previously sent over a copy, and I fully recommend grabbing a copy — it's great and easily one of my highlights of 2023.

The game does keep you on your toes at times, though it's generally not very hard. In my first playthrough, I managed to not hit a single disaster, although it did come to chance 2 or 3 times.
Anyway, like I said it's a fun and funny game and the developer is very responsive. They deserve your money!
