Yes, that's the official title now. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach and a generously long new trailer was released during Sony's January State of Play.

As a huge fan of the first game, with it being one of the most memorable gaming experiences I've had in recent years, I can't wait to play through On The Beach. Sadly, that's going to be a good while away. The PlayStation release isn't until 2025, and after that we will still have quite a while to wait before any possible PC release as they'll of course want to stretch out the PS5 game sales of it before moving on.

I'm certain it will come to PC at some point, and thanks to Proton we should hopefully have a good time with it on Linux. If not, I'm sure Valve will get some fixes in quickly for such a high-profile release like they've done with numerous previous releases.

For reference from the original Death Stranding console release to it arriving on PC it took about 8 months. Let's hope there's no Epic Store exclusive issues with it so we get an easy Steam release.

Are you as excited as I am for Death Stranding 2: On The Beach?

Gameplay seems to be the same boredom like the first game. I will pass.
I'm in! Death Stranding was one of my favourite gaming experiences in the last few years. I have played through it 3 times, once without any vehicles, just walking.

Yup.

I'll happily watch a story-only walkthrough, though, because in contrast to the "gameplay", the story was fairly interesting if a wee bit pretentious (but that's just Kojima default).

Now all I can think of are the adverts for the UK package-holiday outfit, On the Beach. I'm sorry everybody!
Death Stranding is my all time favorite game. I am eagerly looking forward to the sequel, but with a 2025 release date for PS5 means we probably won't see it on PC until at least 2026. Ugh!
Ha, now if only my VR treadmill would work for this game, that would be some good exercise.

So if it's coming to PlayStation in 2025 and coming to PC a bit afterwards - 2026, say - that's... just in time to be an early release for the Steam Deck 2.

YES!

And yes, we'll have to wait. But we survived waiting for the PC port of the first game, which I enjoyed for more than a hundret hours.

Seems like there are two kinds of players mostly, either you can't stand this game, or you love it. I'm lucky to belong to the 2nd kind. I got immersed into this world like bearly into any other. I'm thrilled to see how this sequel continues telling the story.
What PC configuration is required for this game to run at the graphics quality of the trailer? I'm thinking more and more about using the cloud for these AAA games instead of changing PCs every three years.

Got it on sale… couldn't force myself to finish it.

Damn Kojima. I played the first game and when I finished it after 60+ tedious hours I thought: "well, maybe it was just an OK game". But this trailer is so f*cking awesome I am again intrigued. There are so many tiny details picking my interest... Higgs wearing Amelie pendant, Higgs playing Lou's theme on the electric guitar axe while launching rays, the golden strands we can see on minute 8:40 when the new character presumably found in the chrysalis, etc. etc. etc.

I don't want, but I see I will finish taking the bait when the game is released on PC.
