Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor launches in Early Access tomorrow (February 14th) and it has now been given a Steam Deck Playable rating. The good news is the developer, Funday Games, plan to improve on that.

An off-shoot of one of my favourite co-op games, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor spins it into a Vampire Survivors like game and the early demos were a lot of fun.

Why is it only Playable and not Verified? Valve noted it has some text that's too small for the Steam Deck screen. In an update post on Steam the developer said clearly "We will be working on getting officially Verified soon after launch." but all other parts of the game work just fine with Valve's verification being done on the latest stable Proton 8.

Thankfully, for Desktop Linux players, that small text won't be an issue on bigger screens.

DRG + Survivors formula?
Hook it to my veins
I'll wait some time, I'm not a big fan of playing Early Access, but the temptation is huge.

Having had the pleasure of playing the demo, on Steam Deck. It ran great, looking forward to getting the early access. Not sure what would hold it back from being verified.
