Backpack Battles, one of my current — uh, fixations shall we say, has managed to blow away expectations on Steam selling over 500,000 copies in only two weeks of Early Access.
The developer shared the news today on Steam, which is quite a sharp jump from the 100,000 sold from March 9th so it's doing impressively well. They've also just released a new patch for the game that overhauls the main menu screen along with various balancing adjustments to the various character classes to get them to match up better during battles.
Backpack Battles is one of those games that you really just want one more round on, especially when it's time to go to bed. A round couldn't hurt right? Buying up all the cool stuff in the shop, expanding your bag and then doing a PvP battle and suddenly it's 3AM, woops.

Another big success for Godot Engine too! It has Native Linux support and works on Steam Deck.
Don't skip over this one it's great. Buy a copy on Steam.
Quoting: soulsourceThey were lucky. Just consider what happens if you launch a game like this and don't immediately find enough concurrent users for matchmaking to work...Not luck, effort. They had built up wishlists for quite a while to a big amount before launch. And a demo on itch previously too.
