chiaki4deck recently put up another small update, to add in a couple of new options that sound quite useful for those of you streaming a PlayStation to your Steam Deck.

Here's what's new in version 1.6.4:

  • Adds create Steam Shortcut option for Linux and Mac
  • Allow setting console pin for console in settings
  • Add window type option in settings (fullscreen, stretch, zoom)
  • Fix issue causing extra blank ip manual console added when registering non-manual console
  • Add option to adjust when Wifi connection symbol appears based on % of dropped packets in 200ms interval

There's an easy to use AppImage download available on the release notes on GitHub.

Have you been using chiaki4deck? How's it looking now? I only have a rather old and dusty PS4, so I don't really have any need for it myself but I can imagine in a busier household with people hogging the TV this could be great to use.

You do realise Chiaki works with PS4 as well?

Personally, I find many games much improved on the Deck's smaller screen. Plus, I can go to another room and not listen to the PS4's hugely loud fan.

Remembering the login pin is a very welcome addition to an otherwise already excellent app.

I am aware, i meant dusty as in I don’t use it. Not even plugged in.

I play Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for over 3 weeks already (since day 1), I don't have much time for gaming recently (11 hours so far), but experience is perfect.
I didn't have so good experience with Cyberpunk 2077 though, as input lag for fps is little bit too high for me.
