Ghost of Tsushima comes to PC on May 16

Another PlayStation exclusive is heading to PC! Ghost of Tsushima DIRECTOR'S CUT has been announced with a May 16th release date. Great to see more console games coming to PC like this.

Nixxes are once again handling it after previously porting two Spider-Man games, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West. They will include plenty of PC features like ultrawide support, NVIDIA DLSS 3, AMD FSR 3, Intel XeSS, Steam Input support, and they even mention "portable PC gaming devices" (Steam Deck?).

More about it: "Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut is an action-adventure game set in feudal Japan. Protagonist Jin Sakai was raised and trained in the ways of the samurai. His world is shattered when a Mongol invasion defeats the samurai army of his home on Tsushima island, and he is faced with a difficult decision: honor the tradition and customs of his upbringing and maintain a fight he cannot win, or deviate from his samurai path to protect the island and its people by any means necessary.

In his quest to reclaim Tsushima, Jin seeks the guidance and support of old friends and new unlikely allies. He must break away from tradition, become a new kind of warrior, and protect what’s left of his home at all costs. "

No system requirements have been shown yet, so it's unclear if it will run on Steam Deck at all, but so far most Nixxes ports generally run around 30FPS on Steam Deck. Things will be different on Desktop Linux PCs of course, as long as Proton works with it, hopefully we won't have too much trouble. I've no doubt Valve will quickly patch-up Proton if there's problems like they've done before for other releases.

That's a game I've wanted to try for a loooong time!

Amazing news and everything, but dear Sony, we want Bloodborne.
I have been wanting this port for ages, and it's released just one day before my bday, so no excuse from my part!

Wasn't there a recent comment from Miyazaki saying doing anything with Bloodborne requires FromSoft cooperating with Sony? That, and the recent Elden Ring buyout from Namco seems to strongly suggest that FromSoft simply wants to focus on a property they have more (as of now: exclusive) ownership over.
Come on Sony, please give us Gran Turismo 7 on PC too. So that way PC only gamers can actually play a proper driving simulator. Fuck Forza, gimme Gran Turismo all day any day.

I've already got it on the PS5 physically, and that came with a digital copy for PS4 that I've got on my PS4 Pro. It's got cross-save between versions, and having cross-save between PlayStation and PC would kick ass.

Kaz-san already said something about it possibly coming to PC as well. So hopefully it happens.

This one is kind of interesting. It does depend on how MKB controls are implemented. We'll have to see. And maybe it's just me, but seeing upscaling mentioned as a feature is a big negative in my eyes.

I wasn't aware of that Miyazaki comment, but it's really vague at best, and the fact is, Bloodborne was released in 2025 2015, so if Sony intend to make a port for PS5 and/or PC, the best time to do it would probably be next year as a 10th anniversary edition.

That sentiment might have merit, but it could also be true that the marketing division felt like those are the current buzzwords for PC gaming. I’m just speculating, though.

I think this might be an indicator that we need to lower our expectations for next gen. As in, 4k60 for a PS6 will likely mean upscaling tech as well if we factor in increased fidelity etc. Probably not a very stable upscaled 4k60, either.

I think there's a very good reason why that's becoming a buzzword: 4k is just a huge jump for a AAA production, so if devs can avoid native they probably will.
