Valve has revealed the list of the most popular games that were played on Steam Deck throughout February 2024, so let's take a look.

Sorted by hours played from top to bottom the winners are, along with the current Steam Deck Verified rating notice:

This list comes from the official Steam Deck account on X. Interesting to finally see Vampire Survivors getting knocked off the list, which has been one of the most played games overall constantly since release and was one of the most played games in 2023 overall.

Since I got my OLED, I've completed Mirror's Edge and Ico, played a bit more Art of Rally, started Ori and the Blind Forest, and restarted Horizon Zero Dawn.

I told myself "The OLED isn't enough of an upgrade... but I'll buy one if I can get my hands on the Limited Edition"... and then there was no shortage of limited editions. So now I have 2 steam decks.

I installed Hogwart's Legacy on the old one and put it in front of my wife (who was already done with the game and just casually doing the remaining sidequests) and she sort of scoffed at the idea.

She has now also beaten Overcooked and Overcooked 2 on the steam deck. Unfortunately, I don't think any games on this list would pique her interest. I have installed Stardew Valley to see if that would trigger anything.

As for long time now, around 70% of games are green!

Aside from the usual Bomberman + raft of emulation combo, I've been enjoying GB Rober (Proton), Orebody: Binder's Tale (Proton) (both picked up during the suspiciously pro-dino Dinos vs. Robots Fest), and Yeah Yeah Beebiss II (Proton). All run perfectly on the Steam Deck, though Yeah Yeah Beebiss II doesn't set the correct resolution out-of-the-box and needs manually setting to 1280x720 at present.

During February I have played through Shantae: Risky's Revenge, currently re-playing Shantae and the Pirate's Curse and will get to Half-Genie Hero after that hopefully.

I've been working out some builds in Neverwinter Nights 2, looking for a nice OP one which I can use to play through modules without having to get really bogged down in combat. Aside from that I've cleaned out some of my backlog: played through Along the Edge (it's fine), Primordia (it's fine), Shardlight (it's pretty good), and Technobabylon (truly amazing game, I'm so happy I played it, it's fantastic).

As for me..... Through the power of emulation...... Ive been playing through the Resident Evil games for the first time ever...... Ive been going into the games almost completely blind besides knowing small things thanks to well known memes...... Jill Sandwich...... And I have been really enjoying the first two games so far...... Im going to start Resident Evil 3 Nemesis soon......

Heheheheheh.

As an aside, I completed Orebody: Binder's Tale, and found its ending surprisingly sad! It was well worth playing, though, and I'm really glad that I picked it up.

I like Resident Evil 2 a lot, especially when it was first released on PS1 back in 1998. I loved the way they designed the game where you can start with either characters and eventually, their stories converge at the end. I also played the remake version and I like it just as much as the original because it's setup the same way but with additional parts that wouldn't have been possible back then.

Another good one I like is Resident Evil Code Veronica since it's just like the ones you're playing right now and at first, I didn't like it when I played that on the PS2 but after revisiting it again years later, it started to grow on me to the point that I enjoyed it.

I played the Nintendo 64 version of RE2 last week and REALLY liked it...... Thought it was really great....... Besides the annoying kid......

Ive started RE3: Nemesis and im not liking it that much at all..... I can tell its been rushed and the writing is very sub par so far.......

I will get to Code Veronica X on the GameCube one day.......
