The small and scrappy store itch.io is also now running its own Spring Sale for 2024 and there's plenty of good deals to be found, if you manage to sift through lots of the weirdness on itch.

Since itch is basically open to everyone, there's a lot of really random stuff on there but there are also plenty of really great indie games to be found. Going through the list here's some suggestions of interesting Linux games to pick up.

Luck be a Landlord - 55% off
"Luck be a Landlord is a roguelike deckbuilder about using a slot machine to earn rent money and defeat capitalism. This game does not contain any real-world currency gambling or microtransactions."

Dicey Dungeons - 50% off
"In this fast-paced deckbuilding roguelike from Terry Cavanagh (Super Hexagon, VVVVVV), Chipzel, and Marlowe Dobbe, you'll fight monsters, find better loot, and level up your heroes as you work together to take down the Goddess of Fortune, Lady Luck herself. Balance your carefully planned strategies against the unknown of a dice roll."

Ex-Zodiac - 35% off
Ex-Zodiac is a fast-paced rail shooter with a stylized look reminiscent of early 90's 3D games. Join protagonist Kyuu as she fights to free the worlds of the Sanzaru Star System, overrun by the intergalactic terrorist organization known as Zodiac.

Odd Realm - 30% off
"Take control of a group of settlers to build a settlement that survives the passing seasons, roaming bandits, underground horrors, and gods from legend."

Tiny Life - 25% off
"A simulation game that aims to capture the essence of games like The Sims series, but in an isometric pixelart style."

On top of the individual game sales there's also a couple of game bundles including:

itch.io Spring Selects Series A ($12.50) includes:

And also itch.io Spring Selects Series B ($22) includes:

The itch sale ends in 6 days time.

Dicey Dungeons is definitely worth a look if you're into roguelike deckbuilders. Using dice instead of cards brings some novelty to the genre and makes it less random. And the art style is fun.
