Okay this is quite a surprise! The excellent Crypt of the NecroDancer just got a surprise addition with a Hatsune Miku DLC launch. I know plenty of you will be buying this right? What a strange yet wonderful expansion to a nearly 9 year old game, and you know what, it fits perfectly.

The DLC adds in:

  • Play as Hatsune Miku -- attack by dancing through enemies, including clusters of enemies, while wielding a leek.
  • Move in all 8 directions.
  • No shovel -- dig by dashing through enemies into walls instead.
  • Charm enemies with your new ability: SING!
  • Dress to impress: all armors are reskinned as official Miku outfits.
  • Dance along to 15 Hatsune Miku songs added to the soundtrack, including two all new Miku tracks created by Danny Baranowsky!

Anyway, she's a fun character to play, very dynamic, but not an easy one (like the other "don't stop moving to the beat" characters)

...Is it strange that this DLC was the last straw that pushed me to finally buy the game?
