Inspired by classic arcade games, PathBlasters looks like an absolute gem that deserves some attention mixing in some fun gameplay elements with a bit of a competitive edge to it.
My first thought when seeing it was it really resembles the idea of the classic Bomberman, but puts it into a fast-paced vertical-scrolling explosive block-pushing puzzler and it looks like so much fun to play with friends. Check out their trailer:

It has a mixture of solo play and versus modes, with both local and online play available. That makes me happy to see, because too many smaller fun looking games like that often rely on local multiplayer so great to see you'll be able to play friends anywhere.
PathBlasters has Native Linux support and controller support, so could be a fun one for Steam Deck fans too!

Last year's Super Bomberman R 2 was my most-anticipated game in many years, and I loved every minute of it.

Who's your favourite in the R games? Has to be blue bomber for me, I find him so relatable
Not picked up R2 yet as it didn't look different enough from R1 to make it worthwhile.. I still don't think I like the R series as much as bomberman live which is my personal fav

It's the original Bomberman himself, White - he's always determined to do what's right, and his occasional uptight outbursts when nobody else seems willing to step up are a hilarious counterpoint to that (and remind me very much of me doing tech-support for relatives, at times ).I can't help but love them all, though - they really are a wholesome and adorable bunch.

The gameplay is somewhat based on the long-forgotten Bomber King spin-offs (1, 2 ), so it's more about exploration and gathering items in large spaces where the individual screens are mostly much bigger than the stages in R 1. It's not going to be everyone's cup of tea, but I really enjoyed it - blasting through the exploratory areas has this good "virtual bubble-wrap" flow to it, I found.
