Think ConcernedApe was finished? Wrong. Stardew Valley has another free update out now and brings in even more extra content. Stardew Valley is Steam Deck Verified and has Native Linux support!
Following on from the big 1.6 update that pulled in a major new festival, a new environmental events, hundreds of new lines of dialogue, a new end-game skill system and so much more we're back again for another helping. SV 1.6.4 gives us:
- Added 20 new ‘alternate’ mine layouts, which can start appearing after reaching the bottom of the mines.
- Added 20 new volcano mines layouts, which can appear after you’ve unlocked the shortcut between the caldera and the volcano entrance.
- Added fish frenzies.
- Added a special cutscene after you’ve helped your new neighbors grow their family to the max.
- Added 4 new fairy styles.
- You can now place 8 additional non-fish items into fish tanks.
- Raccoon shop now includes a trade for mystery boxes and golden mystery boxes.
- Vinegar can now be poured onto trees to stop them from ever growing moss.
- Shaving enchantment now causes tree-specific drops: (fern → fiddlehead fern, mushroom → red mushroom, mahogany → hardwood).
There's also a whole lot of fixes too.

Man, I love Stardew Valley, and it's got to be the best-supported game I've ever seen! Will drop in again when I have a few free minutes. Or hours.

As someone who likes the fishing mechanics, fish frenzies sound interesting.
Quoting: Purple Library GuyI'm confused as well. Not sure if this is something added in 1.6 (which I haven't had much time to play yet) or something I'm just forgetting already exists.QuoteAdded a special cutscene after you’ve helped your new neighbors grow their family to the max.Wait, are you a midwife in this game?!
