Man, there are a lot of really pretty-looking games in this month's list. It's such a refreshing change from the grey-and-brown morass that gaming largely became for a number of years!

PathBlasters (Native Linux) (thanks again for the heads-up on that one, Liam! ), Stardew Valley (Native Linux), a whole lot of Stumble Guys (Proton), and, emulated, the hidden challenge-mode "The Battle" in Wario Blast Featuring Bomberman! (Game Boy).

I came back to Helldivers 2 this weekend after more than a month without playing, left it right before the release of the Cutting Edge warbond so I'm having fun trying all the new stuff and changes. I finished my first run of Fallout 1, I never got the patience to get to the point when your character is not that horrible or get used to the dated feel of it, until the TV show hype helped. I'm also playing Stardew Valley with mods to improve the vanilla gameplay without adding content.

I refuse to buy DENUVO games. It's too problematic and cannot be circunvented easely to prevent the game to give headaches. So I just will not buy a game that have DENUVO on PC. I'll preffer the console version for DENUVO games and with a large discount because these games DO NOT deserve money as they cause inconvenience and bad service.

Mostly agreed. I picked up a copy of Ghostwire: Tokyo as one of Epic's free offers. At one point I had to wait 24 hours to play it as I'd changed the wine version too often whilst configuring. I believe the Denuvo cancer has since been removed from this particular game.

Just started Touhou Luna Nights, great start so far, I think there's some lore I'm missing on but it doesn't seem to matter. I'm also playing Mirror's Edge and it's really fun, should be short too which I prefer so I should be close to finishing it. No one on the game's ProtonDB page seemed to have bothered to fix some of the technical issues so I'll try not to forget to do my part and share how I fixed those and post to the ProtonDB page. Before those two I was playing Alan Wake and found the game to be too boring so I flushed it, a shame as I do love Remedy's games.

Great list of games you posted, Liam. As of now, I've been playing Alan Wake Remastered through Geforce Now and once that's done, I'll either go back to Battlefield 1 to complete the war stories or jump into Alan Wake 2. Otherwise, it's back to the sea of installed games that I've forgotten about but need to complete before starting another round of backlog cleaning.

What a great time to play a library of games that'll last you for a long time and it's hard to resist new games that keep coming out every year. Poor wallet

I've platinummed Horizon Zero Dawn and, since then, been cracking on with Full Void.

The little one's been playing Potions, Rota and Dead Cells.

I'm on a comedown from playing a boatload of first person shooters the past month. I replayed DOOM, DOOM 2, Quake, Quake 2, and Heretic last month, and finished DOOM 64 and Amid Evil for the first time this month. I was thoroughly impressed by DOOM 64. In tone it's much more akin to Quake than DOOM, but the gameplay very much feels like - as I've seen some say - the "true" DOOM 3. Amid Evil was rather great too, a couple of dud episodes, but I loved how much enemy variety there was.

I'm now playing Fallout 1 for the first time. I grew up with consoles so the CRPG genre as a whole is kinda foreign to me. To be frank, Baldur's Gate 3 is my first proper foray into that kind of game, but it's given me the confidence to give these older classics a chance.
Huh, Sokobond Express – I got the precursor Sokobond (another good Steam Deck game) years ago because I love chemistry, but I've never finished it since the puzzles get quite challenging with a number of chemistry-related mechanics (making and breaking bonds between atoms, atoms that can form a variable number of bonds depending on their free electrons, rotating molecules, noble gas atoms that don't bond, etc.).

I finally got Star Renegades, it's been on my wish list for years. I'm glad I did, its awesome. There's a lot of strategy involved in battle, and any mistake is costly, even deadly. Against some enemies, each round of battle feels like a puzzle where you have to find the optimal solution. I love it.
big ups to Pepper Grinder. runs butter smooth and is an incrediBle joy to play! amazing platforming flow, crunchy sound fx, sick music, delightful visual style. pick it up!
