The Games I Have Played On This List.........

art of rally: Really damn good rally game with a great visual twist...... The graphics are awesome and the handling is also very good...... Took some time for me to get the controller settings the way I liked..... But there are plenty of options to help you to dial it in to your liking....... Lots of stages and cars (none of them are officially licenced) should keep you entertained for many hours.......

Runs flawlessly on Proton.......

And that is why my final rating for art of rally is a pastel painting out of 10.......

WRC 10 FIA Rally Championship: A very competent mass market officially licenced rally game....... Not the most realistic handling model but still enough detail and feedback to know what your doing...... Again lots of options to dial in a controller...... The stages look amazing with a really nice level of detail in them....... The car models are not as well done especially the classic cars.... Some of them are downright awful......... Packed with plenty of stages, cars and a nice career mode this game should keep you entertained for quite a while......

Runs great on Proton but I did need to change to DX11 from the default DX12 in the games options menu as DX12 caused a lot of stuttering......

And that is why final rating for WRC 10 FIA Rally Championship is a Martin Schanche out of 10........

WRC 9 FIA Rally Championship: A very slight step down from WRC 10 in almost every way....... As per usual with these annual sequels the games are very similar but there are always very slight differences between the games...... I personally think WRC 9s handling is a bit worse than WRC 10...... The career mode is almost the same and most of the stages are very similar as well........ Still lots to do but if you have WRC 10 theres not really many reasons to have this installed as well.......

Runs great on Proton......

And that is why my final rating for WRC 9 FIA Rally Championship is a Mikko Hirvonen out of 10......
Really good but not quite good enough.......
Highly recommend MudRunner, its older, but still getting new mods and there's enough trucks and maps on the workshop currently to keep you busy for a _very long_ time. If you've got a wheel its better in my opinion than the newer snowrunner game since the shifting is actual shifting vs just swapping between high/low/neutral etc..

Its also great game to play while watching mediocre tv shows/movies as well. Ground through the entirety of GoT in a little over a month just playing this in the evenings.. and I only completed like 6 maps..

Do you happen to know the drm situation in mudrunner?

Picked up the cheapest 3 item bundle mainly for mudrunner and when playing the first challenge I got a "waiting for steam" dialog when for some reason my Internet suddenly went down, clicked cancel and all it did was close the game

The game seems to work fine in offline mode but not sure if that will be persistent or not. But this was a bummer for me as I'm not a big fan of online requirements when I buy digital games, unless it's just basic steamworks drm

Someone actually created a Sorcerer map for Mudrunner! The trailer is pretty cool with the original movie soundtrack.

It's a pity that the editor doesn't seem to make it possible to use custom assets, to create a proper jungle....

No Wages of Fear map sadly

Apologies, I don't usually login so I missed your question. I don't know for sure, but I was able to tar up the game files (ver.28.09.22), and run the game on a system without steam installed via wine with no problem after a quick winetricks -q d3dx9 (although as you've mentioned I'm not sure how long it will go before the game complains about being in offline mode)
