Remember Besiege from 2020? A physics building game about constructing mechanical machines to annihilate armies, obliterate castles and overcome challenging obstacles. Well, now you can go sailing in it.
I'm not sure sailing is the right word here. Besiege: The Splintered Sea allows you to make all sorts of crazy boats and ships to smash through things and it looks like a great addition to the main game. You can expect to see lots of new aquatic blocks, a new campaign and as you can imagine - lots of explosions with a brand new sandbox.

The base game had a free update too which gives the sound system a huge overhaul to add in lots of new sound effects, collision sounds are now proportional in magnitude to the velocity of an impact and various different types of materials have new sound effects for actions. The biggest change is how each type of sound has its own independent track, which enables things to just sound a whole lot better to your ears instead of them all fighting for your attention.
Besiege has Native Linux support and it's rated Steam Deck Playable by Valve. You can buy Besiege from:

Good thing I didn't buy this game.

Quoting: CatKillerIn case anyone else is also considering it for a younger audience, according to the discussion pages there is an option to disable the blood.
That's true, it's still violent though.
I never got far, didn't manage to build a vehicle that can stand some dozens of soldiers in like level 5, but it is a fun game.
