I remember playing with various crazy Marbles games when younger, and again with my own small person and now one developer is making a whole game about messing with them in Mighty Marbles. The plan is to release it into Early Access sometime this year.

Welcome to Mighty Marbles, a cute physics based game where you control the level to guide the marble to victory. Inspired by the desire to see real life physics toys as a video game! Each level is a playground of diverse puzzles, each with its own unique set of controls. Fear not; an intuitive on-screen controller showcases how to navigate each puzzle, granting you the freedom to switch between challenges at your whim!

More about it:

  • PUZZLES - Prepare for a series of interconnected puzzles in every level, each presenting distinct challenges that put your mastery of physics to the test. Losing your marble leads to a swift rescue thanks to the adorable Bobby Copters, getting you back in the action quickly.
  • CAMERA - Tailor your gaming experience to your liking: opt for the close-up camera, immersing yourself in a detailed view of the puzzle, or switch to the bird's eye perspective for a comprehensive overview of the entire level. Can't settle on one? No problem! Switch effortlessly between the two views with a simple button press, ensuring you have the perfect perspective for every moment.
  • COURSES - The levels are organized into courses. Each course has 9 levels sharing the same theme with new puzzles introduced each level. Initially for early access there are 3 courses, toybox, machines and mini golf. Additionally each course can be played with different game modes to explore new and challenging ways to play.
  • COLLECT - No marble game is complete without the joy of collecting marbles! Completing fast times on each course and each mode will unlock new and exciting marbles. Once collected, these marbles become yours to choose from, allowing you to personalize your experience by selecting any of your acquired marbles before embarking on a course.

The developer has been testing it working well on Steam Deck too:

Looks like good fun, could be a great one for kids too. A nice family-friendly playground.

You can follow Mighty Marbles on Steam.

I love my Bomberman marble-shooter figures, but oh God, seeing this unlocked some very annoying memories of ending up INCREDIBLY frustrated with those old wooden marble-labyrinth things back when I was a kid, hahaha!

This looks closer to Tomy's classic Screwball Scramble, though, thankfully! Hopefully there'll be some stages like the vertical counterpart, Kongman, too!

Seems like a missed opportunity to not use the gryos in the Steamdeck but surely someone has made a good community template.

I think that might be because the only way to use the Steam Deck gyro is through Steam Input, which the dev may not be using.

This really makes me wish Nvidia's Marbles RTX demo were a full game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NgcYLIvlp_k
There's just something very pleasing about seeing small objects lovingly rendered. Lego Builder's journey was great as well.
