The Thaumaturge released back in March from Fool's Theory and 11 bit studios, it looks pretty great and now it is Steam Deck Verified.
Originally at release Valve tagged it as having small text and the performance wasn't good enough. Seems enough has changed now though since it has the green Steam Deck Verified tick with Proton 9. So with Valve's upgrades to Proton along with multiple updates to the game since release to focus on the UI, bugs and performance, it should now work quite well.
The Thaumaturge is an isometric, story-rich RPG with a unique take on turn-based combat, character development features, and investigation mechanics, facing you with morally ambiguous choices – set in a world teeming with mysterious powers and strange ethereal beings called salutors.
The year is 1905. Warsaw lives under the yoke of imperial Russian tsardom. Its inhabitants constitute a diverse group of different ancestries, views, and beliefs with often conflicting interests: Russian soldiers, Jewish merchants, Polish townspeople, and more. Despite the circumstances, the city is a buzzing metropolis, where one can attend a breathtaking party with the high society, and later get robbed in one of the dark alleys of the Praga district. A city of great hopes and dreams on one hand and dark desires on the other.
Great to see an increasing amount of games get nicely supported on Steam Deck, and so making them work well on Desktop Linux too thanks to Proton.

Only in GOL we can get the luxury of reasonable takes like this. Steam forums, on the contrary...
Quoting: ElamanOpiskelijaI can only guess, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's because of the target audience. The Steam userbase is basically a mirror of society as a whole, while here we are mostly people interested in tech stuff.Quoting: soulsourceQuoteCreated in Unreal Engine 5And here we have our reason why it performed poorly initially. I, for instance, made the above statement, because I am working with Unreal professionally. Unreal 4 was a lot lighter on the hardware by default than Unreal 5. Not that Unreal 5 couldn't perform well, it just needs a bit more work to get it to do so.
