Minami Lane from Doot / Blibloop released with Native Linux support back in February, and the developer just released a major update adding in controller support.

Speaking about the update they said: "Minami Lane can now be played comfortably with a gamepad or on any handheld platform Like Steam Deck or ROG Ally. Xbox, Playstation and Steam Deck controllers will all show native input prompts, and other ones will use Xbox prompts. The "verified" tag for Steam Deck should come very soon!"

The update also comes with 6 new languages, various visual improvements, lots of quality of life updates and lots of bug fixes too.

Game Features:

  • 2-4 hours of play time.
  • Create and customize your own adorable street.
  • Manage shops by adjusting their inventory, recipes, and prices.
  • Play strategically to complete each level's mission objectives.
  • Keep the streets clean by picking up trash.
  • Tanukis and cats!

With the sweet style and short playtime, this could be a nice one when you just want to switch-off your brain and relax for a bit. And now with the controller support that's certainly easier than ever.

It has an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam.

Oh, this is great news. I just got this via a bundle the other day and was a little disappointed to see it didn’t play well on my Steam Deck. I’ll have to update and try it again!
My only problem with this game is I don't like bubble tea. Will it let me have real cafes instead of "boba cafes"?
