Tchia is a cute looking tropical open-world adventure from Awaceb and Kepler Interactive that released in March and now it should look better on Steam Deck.

"Join Tchia on her tropical open-world adventure as she sets off to rescue her father from the cruel tyrant, Meavora, ruler of the archipelago. Climb, glide, swim, and sail your boat around beautiful islands as you explore a physics-driven sandbox. Face the fabric soldiers created by Meavora in open encounters where your creativity gives you the edge. Take control of any animal or object you can find, make new friends and jam on your fully playable Ukulele. A poetic coming-of-age story inspired by New Caledonia."

In an update released yesterday, May 21st, the developer noted:

  • Fixed some performance issues, especially one occurring during the rain.
  • Made some texts more readable, especially on SteamDeck.

Currently Valve has rated it only as Steam Deck Playable, due to those two issues above. So perhaps it might now be able to get Steam Deck Verified once it gets a re-test. For desktop Linux players, it has a Platinum rating on ProtonDB from crowd-sourced user reports.

I'm not sure it's quite my kind of game, but the trailer really gives a feeling of possibilities--you have movement by running around, bouncing real high, sailing, swimming, zorping yourself into an animal's body and running around as the animal, maybe more? Plus you're some kind of spell singer.
