TUXEDO announce the desktop-replacement Stellaris 17 gen6 notebook

The Stellaris 17 from TUXEDO is a new refreshed (their sixth version) high-powered desktop-replacement notebook, with a high price and a tease of more models in this series to come. With full Linux support of course, like everything from TUXEDO you can pick between their own TUXEDO OS, Ubuntu, Kubuntu, and Ubuntu Budgie.

The base model is pricey at €2,099 EUR but for that you get:

• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 8GB GDDR6 | up to a RTX 4090.
• 17'' 2560 x 1600 16:10 display at 240Hz | ~99 % sRGB | ~380 nits.
• Intel Core i9-14900HX (24 Cores | 32 Threads | Max. 5.8 GHz | 36 MB Cache | 55 W TDP).
• Intel UHD Graphics | 32 Execution Units (EUs) | max. 1.65 MHz graphics frequency
• 16 GB (2x 8GB) DDR5 5600MHz Crucial.
• 500 GB Samsung 980 (NVMe PCIe 3.0).
• Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX211 (802.11ax | 2.4, 5 & 6 GHz | Bluetooth 5.3).
• 99 Wh battery.
• Along with a healthy dose of ports including: USB-A 3.2 Gen2x1, Mic-in, Headphone-out (compatible with combi-plugs), Card reader (SD/SDHC/SDXC), 2x USB-A 3.2 Gen1, Thunderbolt 4 / USB-C 4 Gen3x1, HDMI 2.1, RJ45 Port 2.5 Gbit, power plug (DC-in).

Depending on which GPU you go for, you also get a different keyboard. the RTX 4060 gives you a "quiet" membrane keyboard, whereas the RTX 4070-4090 have the optional of a mechanical keyboard. But the RTX 4090 also has an option for a "silent" membrane keyboard too. You get a Linux TUX super-key on all layouts.

There's also an optional external water cooling addon for stationary use. If you really wanted to push it while at home.

TUXEDO are also teasing two other Stellaris models with the Stellaris 15 Slim they say say is a "compact ultra-slim gamer in highly portable 15.3" format" and the Stellaris 16 they say is the "best combination of performance, thermals and portability". No word on when they will appear though.
