Deep Rock Galactic is by far, one of the best co-op games ever made. Ghost Ship Games are truly showing others how it's done with this upcoming season too. It's rated Steam Deck Playable (and it does work great) and it's pretty much flawless on desktop Linux with Proton. I've played it a lot, and so have plenty of people I know, it's an absolute gem not to be missed out on.

The new update coming with Season 05: Drilling Deeper just got a full preview, and it looks awesome. It includes a new higher difficulty mode, a new Performance Pass to unlock items, new types of missions, a new special event, new enemies like one that cloaks and stalks you, new weapon overclocks, new secondary objectives and more.

Truly showing how they're player-first, they're also adding something else that's exciting with the ability to play through previous seasons. So you'll be able to pick any season you want and activate it to play through it. Other players don't need to be in the same season to join you, and you'll each progress through your own season and gain access to the Performance Pass for that season to play through and unlock various items.

They've also replaced the "Disable Season Content" option with a season simply called Vanilla, which gives you no specific Performance Pass, and a "balanced chance to spawn Events and Warnings from all seasons.". Fantastic.

You'll be able to play through the new season on June 13th.

Are previous "seasons" always available?

Thats the one thing I didnt like about No Man's Sky - all previous seasons locked until a "special event" starts, I just dont bother.

I saw that, NMS devs said they "add that ability" as well but take it away shortly after

Well, it's not possible to comment on future events. But they've added the ability, so the answer as stated is yes.

Looks like Management had one too many Leaf Lovers under the beard there...

I've been waiting for this update since the day they announced that previous seasons will be playable with season 5, I completely missed seasons 1 and 3. Time to come back to Hoxxes, too much time without tipping Lloyd.

For Karl! Rock and Stone forever!
Too bad they're not good enough of developers to be willing to implement cross-platform multiplayer, and then just brush it off or ignore it whenever it's brought up countless times by fans. I'm glad that I bought the game and DLC all on sale and didn't give them full price for the game (especially after being forced to double dip). It isn't worth full price if they're gonna be like that. They've made money hand over fist. They can take the time and resources to implement it. 🙄
