Time for you to get some DRM freedom? GOG has launcher their Summer Sale 2024, and you know what to expect - absolutely loads of games are now discounted.

Some of the deals on the big hitters include:

No giveaways yet, so keep your eyes peeled to see if they announce any.

Need some quick-picks on a budget? Here's a few interesting titles at £5 or under:

There's a number of ways to easily install GOG games on Linux and keep them up to date. Regardless of them being Native or with Wine you can try Heroic, Lutris and Minigalaxy.

In addition to the sale, GOG announced their collaboration with the cloud gaming service Amazon Luna is now kicking off. So beginning today you'll be able to link your GOG and Luna accounts, to access your GOG games on Luna directly. Additionally, Amazon Luna is now available in Austria, the Netherlands, and Poland now too. There's only 40 or so games currently supported with more to be added over time.

GOG's sale runs until July 11th, 7AM UTC.

See their full Summer Sale 2024 page for more. I may update this post with more good deals, so keep looking back for extras.

Looks like they redirect through a tracking site. My network and browser config also blocks it. When I click on it the window flashes and I'm still on this page.

So the first link, https://af.gog.com/en/game/dragons_dogma_dark_arisen?as=1636858786, redirects to https://track.adtraction.com/t/t?a=1578845458&as=1636858786&t=2&tk=1&url=https://www.gog.com:80/en/game/dragons_dogma_dark_arisen

They're affiliate links, so common ad-blockers will likely block them.
Haven't seen an official announcement yet, but I can now link my GOG account in Amazon Luna. Of course only 5 of my 215 games show up 😆 (I know the game devs need to opt-in)

The links are the same ones we always use as a GOG Affiliate. I did notice ublock recently just refuses to let them even open, so it’s a plugin issue.

If a plugin you use doesn't even tell you anything, I would consider that a bug and there's nothing I can personally do about it.

Also, article updated with the Amazon Luna info now live.

Vivaldi Mobile used to let these pass, but about a week ago it started aggressively blocking the links. Seems like this has happened with a number of ad-blockers recently ...

My uBlock on mobile Firefox shows the same tracking block info with opt-in as it has ever before.
So no issue here.

I don't use any plugin just default AdBlock feature in Edge mobile and AdGuard DNS in system DNS settings. Opening link shows "Unsafe site" warning and if agree to risk, redirect to AdGuard DNS site with explanation
