Another weekend update of Proton Experimental has landed, with a few game fixes for Linux and Steam Deck fans.
Eventually, Valve release all of the changes from Proton Experimental into a stable Proton version, which is currently Proton 9.0-1. There is a Release Candidate currently in testing for Proton 9.0-2, which should hopefully release this month. If you need more info on Proton check my beginner's guide.
Noted to be now playable as of this Proton Experimental update for June 7th include:
- Syberia
- Zaccaria Pinball
- Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition
Pictured - Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition
Other Improvements:
- Improved support for workshop levels in Zeepkist.
- Improved microphone support with Squad.
- Improved language support for Guild Wars 2.
Bug fixes:
- Fixed Yakuza Kiwami not working on certain setups using very long library paths.
As seen in the changelog.

I feel betrayed. The picture doesn't show any dogs, much less sleeping ones.

Quoting: XpanderWhat was the issue with sleeping dogs?I literally just completed a full playthrough of Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition on Proton Experimental. Full campaign, lots of achievements, DLC content. It basically runs like a native game.

I have just installed Forza Horizon 5 on Ubuntu 24.04 and when I start the game this msg comes up:
Z:/home/jano/.var/app/com.valvesoftware.Steam/.local/share/Steam/steamapps/common/ForzaHorizon5
Installation path is too long. Please move your Forza Horizon 5 installation to a shorter path.
I have no idea how to do that since I'm a newbi to Linux. Any advice from the community would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Quoting: FjolserikInstallation path is too long. Please move your Forza Horizon 5 installation to a shorter path. You could try setting up another library folder on a different drive and moving the install to that new folder. This is all done within the Steam client software.
However, this sounds like a bug. You would probably be better to report this to Valve/Steam.

Don't feel betrayed! Its a great game. A better version of Yakuza imo but set in Hong Kong. Wish it caught on

"Forza Horizon 5 needs to be installed at a Steam library location that is 59 characters or shorter."
