Roll the dice to attack enemies in Dice & Fold, try the demo now

By - | Views: 20,034

Dice & Fold is another upcoming game from Tinymice Entertainment and Rogue Duck Interactive, who are also involved in Stellar Settlers: Space Base Builder and NEODUEL: Backpack Monsters.

The developers got in touch to mention Dice & Fold, a turn-based dungeon crawler where your only way of attacking the enemy is by rolling dice. Roll dice to damage enemy cards to FOLD. Inspired by classic Solitaire, in a top-down table and enemies made out of cards, try to beat the dungeon with 20 unique classes. Build your deck, kill monsters.

Taking inspiration from Solitaire, Slay the Spire, Vampire Survivors and various classic table-top RPGs. I like the idea of this one, giving off a little Dicey Dungeons vibes too.

Definitely worth a look!

The developer also told me via email "All current games and future games we make will also target Linux and be tested on it." which is great to see.

Check out the demo for Dice & Fold on Steam. It's due out later this year.

Excellent, we need more dice games.
No more GIFs based on game titles. Too bad, cause there were some good ones based off dice too. 🙄

Gave it a try earlier, and it's okay mechanically, but other than the card art I'm not feeling that much character shining through to the game as a whole.

Also there doesn't feel like a lot of weight to getting hit or "folding" enemies. Seems to me there should be more impact.

I'll give it a try again tomorrow, see if I get more out of it.
