Tempopo is the next title from Witch Beam, creators of the popular Unpacking and Assault Android Cactus due out sometime in 2024.

Looks like quite a relaxing one, as it seems Witch Beam are sticking to their more casual games following on from Unpacking which was very chilled and quite a departure from the chaos in twin-stick shooter Assault Android Cactus. Here you're dealing with a garden of musical flowers that have been scattered across the sky, and only the magical Tempopo with their unique abilities can rescue them. These creatures are mischievous and uncoordinated by nature, so they'll be relying on your conducting skills to work together to solve the puzzles.

The first trailer, which is a music video masquerading as a trailer, introduces us to "the flow, feel and vibe of Tempopo, where soundscapes act as a heartbeat to synchronise all living elements of the game together while you play". Check it out below:

Hopefully they'll make sure that they get that Verified green tick since Deck & cozy go together so well. They're off to a good start with the native build and

but it would be a shame for them to trip themselves up with something like text boxes or font size. The other games got the tick, though, so I expect they're on the case.
This looks like "Captain Toad's Treasure Tracker," with added musical numbers. I hope it turns out as good as that description might suggest.

I'm assuming the title is a pun on the Japanese word "tampopo", which means "dandelion". The little dudes aren't anything like dandelions, but at least it's a flower word.
"Witch Beam" makes me imagine this "Sentai Ranger Witch" character with like a power ranger outfit and a witch hat, powering up and going "Witch . . . BEAM!!!!" in a thick Japanese accent and doing this big destructive beam that turns people into frogs or something.

Reminds me of the classic movie "Tampopo" which was a Japanese movie all about food. There's kind of a core plotline about this woman named Tampopo running a ramen shop with kind of crappy ramen, who helps this trucker guy out and in return he starts doing this quest with her to get her ramen up to spec, seeking out great broth recipes and stuff. But it also has all these weird hilarious vignettes, like these homeless bums who live behind classy-restaurant row and eat all the best food and are connoisseurs, or these girls taking etiquette lessons from this older woman who has taken them to an Italian restaurant to learn how to properly eat spaghetti, and she's doing the whole formal thing with winding it on the spoon and telling them Americans will be shocked and dismayed by their manners if they don't eat it like this . . . and is interrupted by the slurping sound of an American a few tables over vacuuming their spaghetti, at which point all the girls start doing it and actually having fun eating their spaghetti . . . It's a great movie, tons of good bits.

I've seen it actually, way back. And that's where I learned that particular bit of trivia.
