Old School Rally is bringing some serious vibes from retro 90s racers like Colin McRae Rally and it's confirmed to hit Early Access on July 19th.

The developer noted that the Steam Deck is "fully supported" through Proton. There's no official verification done from Valve yet, but I did previously highlight their support of it. So it will also work great on desktop Linux!

From what the developer said: "'Old School Rally' features nostalgic visual aesthetics and thrilling racing gameplay loyal to the classic era. With over 55,000 wishlists and a passionate community, "Old School Rally" has taken players' feedback seriously. The Early Access version of 'Old School Rally' includes many important features and improvements requested by the community, such as Ghost, Steering Sensitivity, Stage Optimization, and Wheel Support, along with new cars, new stages, and a brand new "Rally" mode. Of course, as Early Access progresses, planned new game modes, new features, and new content will be patched into the game regularly!"

You can follow it on Steam. It will be priced at $9.99.

Nice to see a resurgence in these retro-racers that go for fun, rather than realistic visuals. Like we've seen with #DRIVE Rally and Parking Garage Rally Circuit recently.

The glory days of the Boomer Rally are upon us!
Of all these rally games coming along, I really hope at least one takes after the dos era games like Rally Championship, Network Q RAC Rally, etc.

I love Sega Rally as much as the next person, but 10 minutes later when you’ve finished the stage 3 times there’s little left to stay interested.
