Now and then I come across a game and just think - I have to have it. Castle Come is one of those times, a roguelike where you control a walking fortress you build up as you go. Hopefully it will work with Proton on Linux / Steam Deck, I will be surprised if it doesn't.

In Castle Come, you scout a strange land full of bandits in search of new parts, defeat enemy fortresses and scavenge the wreckage, recruit crew to man your growing arsenal of weapons and build your way from an agile little fortling into a deadly, hulking, monster machine.

In combat, Castle Come switches to a Tekken-inspired 2.5D fighting view where you can make use of sidesteps, dodges and rams. Take advantage of a stylish time-slowing feature that kicks in whenever you line up a shot from one of your arsenal of weapons - from machine guns and mine launchers, to chicken pens and giant boulders. Take control of every weapon yourself, or leave your crew to fire at will as you juggle active reloads, cooldowns and movement in the search for maximum efficiency on the battlefield.

Yep, I absolutely need to play this. Check out the trailer:

“Our tiny two-person team is really excited to be able to announce Castle Come to the world with our first trailer,” said Sam Vonäsch, producer and designer. “We’re looking forward to being able to share more about the game’s mechanics, our special take on narration and when it will be releasing, in the future.”

Looks awesome. I already added this to my wishlist.
That does look very cool. It's funny--I was expecting an anime aesthetic, but I wasn't expecting that anime aesthetic. Makes me think of Girls' Last Tour, when from the description I was imagining of course Howl's Moving Castle.

I like that! It seems like walking cities are a thing now, i just bought Mech Engineer (from Microprose), where you manage a walking city too, but its waaaay nerdier. :)
