Currently the demo only notes a Windows icon, but there is a full Native Linux demo available.

Features:

  • EXPLORE THE UNTAMED WILDERNESS - Traverse the uncharted territories of Coldridge, mapping out resources for the all-powerful guild. Each step into the wild presents new challenges and opportunities as you navigate through the treacherous landscapes.
  • HIGH RISK, HIGH REWARD - Carefully plan your expeditions by choosing the right contracts. Will you play it safe with calculated risks, or will you dare to gamble for potentially greater rewards? The choices you make could lead to fortune or peril.
  • MASTER MOVEMENT PLANNING - Fulfill your contracts by meticulously planning your moves. Utilize the terrain and your equipment to gain an edge, outmaneuver obstacles, and complete your objectives efficiently.
  • UNLOCK NEW CHARACTERS - Experience rogue-lite progression as you unlock new characters and objects. Each playthrough offers fresh challenges and opportunities. See how long you can survive and how deep you can delve into the secrets of Coldridge.

Testing out the demo, it definitely gives off some vibes from the early exploration stage in the Civilization series and other similar games. A lot more compact than that though, a lot more focused on the individual and your little quests.

Check it out on the Steam page. It should release sometime late this year.

So I'm watching the trailer, nodding along, enjoying the refreshingly different accent of the character doing the intro, OK, exploration, buying stuff, like . . . portals. Oh yeah, I remember how portals made settling the Wild West so much easier . . . hang on a minute.

This seems interesting. The big thing I'm wondering is, do you ever get to crush this Guild?
It hadn't occurred to me before, but you know, in real life probably most of the people in the Wild West didn't have, like, western cowboy-style accents because after all, they just got there.
That final "The guild always wants more" line crystallized what the rest of the trailer had been hinting at: this is basically single-player Lethal Company in the Wild West.
