Are those some spots I see in the mirror? Must be the teens. GamingOnLinux, the website, is another year older today and I'm still blown away by what we've achieved together. 15 years! I can hardly believe it.

This year, amazingly, I don't have a whole lot to talk about for this article. Why? Well, things are — great? Looking back over the years of website birthdays at things I've talked about we've been through the Steam Machines, Proton, Steam Deck and so much more. Right now, it's the best Linux gaming has ever been. It's easier than ever. What a fantastic place to be in.

Special thanks to our furious Discord moderator and supporter dpanter for sending over a cake:

Lovely choice of cakes, dpanter!
Congratulations! I'm glad GoL is here for those fellow gamers freeing themselves from the shackles of Windows and macOS!

Woohoo! What a wild ride! Gimme another 15 of this kind of improvement and just imagine how much better the world would look! Huge thanks to you, Liam, for everything you've achieved with this site, your enthusiasm, this community.

I still fondly remember checking the site at nights during my military service times. If Liam was wondering who the hell was browsing the site with Opera Mini on Symbian OS running in Nokia 700 around 2016-2017, it was me. 🙃
