Are those some spots I see in the mirror? Must be the teens. GamingOnLinux, the website, is another year older today and I'm still blown away by what we've achieved together. 15 years! I can hardly believe it.

This year, amazingly, I don't have a whole lot to talk about for this article. Why? Well, things are — great? Looking back over the years of website birthdays at things I've talked about we've been through the Steam Machines, Proton, Steam Deck and so much more. Right now, it's the best Linux gaming has ever been. It's easier than ever. What a fantastic place to be in.

Great website and great community. Thanks for keeping at it. Happy Birthday!
who the hell was browsing the site with Opera Mini on Symbian OS running in Nokia 700 around 2016-2017
I occasionally visited this site on iPad 2 on 2023-24 with no issues but SYMBIAN OS?! Whatsapp dropped support for Symbian in that timeframe!
EDIT: I just checked, Whatsapp EOL was beginning of 2017

Happy birthday! Its a long time and gaming on Linux was different back then. Nowadays we are having smooth AAA titles running nearly without issues after a release and not forced to play tux racer all days anymore :D Keep up the good work!

Yeah, that old, tiny, panzer of a semi-smartphone survived my military service just long enough to have its bare minimum apps such as WhatsApp, Facebook, Maps/GPS kept working. Outdated web browser, lack of YouTube app and poor battery were the biggest drawbacks but third party Opera Mobile&Mini, an unofficial third party YouTube app kept me going with that "easy to hide 😉" semi-smartphone. I immediately got a modern phone after my military service but felt heartbroken when Facebook killed off the WhatsApp support. 😢

Thanks for the kind words everyone. Was quite sick over the last week, so this was nice to come back and read.
