NonSteamLaunchers is a tool for installing various popular game stores / launchers on Steam Deck and desktop Linux with the latest release being a big improvement.

The developer released version 3.9.1 towards the end of June, which included a big refactor to the code and managed to cut it down quite a lot. As a result, it has also fixed "the EA APP path not found error as well as battles nets and GOG's errors from installing at times".

Not only that, the developer said it's much easier to add launchers now, so anyone can take a look at the code and submit a launcher they think will work.

ProtonTricks compatibility has also seen a big improvement with this release. The uninstall button should now work properly for all launchers and there's a new "Legacy Games" scanner.

It currently supports the Amazon Games Launcher, Battle.net, EA App, Epic Games, GOG Galaxy, Humble Games Collection, IndieGala, Itch.io, Legacy Games, Rockstar Games Launcher, Ubisoft Connect, Glyph, Playstation Plus and also VK Play. On top of that it supports setting up various streaming services like Netflix. This is probably one of the simplest ways to get everything you need up and running.

See more in the release notes.

You can download it manually and use it as a standalone app on Linux desktop / Steam Deck, and it's also being made into a Decky Loader plugin but it's not quite finished for that yet. See all on GitHub.

It looks like an interesting tool I would like to try, but I'm waiting till the Decky Loader plugin is ready as the Decky Loader is nice tool as well.

Same, currently I use Junk Store for Epic and Gog on Deck. For the GOG support however you need to be a Trier 2 Patreon supporter as of now. Which is fair as these kind of things are a lot of work to get running.

Do you happen to have a link for their patreon? As my main interest is the GOG launcher.

Is it better for Epic and GOG Games than Heroine Launcher? Should I give it a try?

My recommendation would be portproton. It has one click installs for all the launchers and makes exes work like windows (single click to launch) while retaining the power of lutris if you so desire (with extensive options)
