Proton Experimental gets fixes for Farlight 84, Shadow Warrior 2, video improvements for 32bit games
Valve released their usual weekend upgrade of Proton Experimental for Linux desktop and Steam Deck, with an assortment of game improvements.
The July 5th release notes these games as now playable:
- Farlight 84
- THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII STEAM EDITION
- Super
- Ball at Work: The Ultimate Speedrun Platformer!

We also have these fixes and improvements:
- Fixed extras video playback in Shadow Warrior 2.
- Fixed freezes in Dinogen Online.
- Improved memory usage when playing videos in 32bit games.
- Fixed missing cursor in IL-2 Sturmovik: Cliffs of Dover Blitz Edition.
- Improved memory usage of Burnout Paradise Remastered and lowered the chances of crashing.
- Fixed video playback in One Finger Death Punch.
- Fixed Hell Yeah! Wrath of the Dead Rabbit crashing when reaching first boss.
- Updated Wine Mono to 9.2.0.
- Fixed 9.0 regressions:
- Bionic Commando is playable again.
See all in the changelog. It will show up as an update for Proton Experimental in your Steam Library, if you have it installed. Otherwise you can install it manually by just searching for it in your Steam Library on Linux / Steam Deck.
