Satisfactory 1.0 is releasing in September

By -

For fans of sprawling building and automation sims, Satisfactory 1.0 is planned to release on September 10th. Satisfactory works well on desktop Linux with Proton, and it's rated Steam Deck Playable by Valve.

The announcement post goes into a little detail on what to expect that include highlights like a flushable toilet. Yes really. But there's more than just some plumbing being done. The developer mentioned an update to the map to have some more resource nodes, changes to recipe costs, research updates, lots and lots of performance optimizations. Going over the details of their tweaks, it certainly looks like progression will be a bit smoother.

Another interesting one is the improvements to dedicated servers that will introduce a new API so "it will be possible to develop external applications that can talk directly to the server". Will be fun to see what people come up with for that.

Plus so much more they will reveal over time.

The price is also due to rise soon from $29.99 to $39.99. Currently it's 50% off during the Steam Summer Sale so you may want to be quick before it jumps up a fair bit.

Highly recommend picking up this game.

I have put 470 hours into this one so far and is 3rd in my top played list behind CS1 and Stationeers. Game now runs through steam proton with virtually no issues whatsoever.

Really looking forward to 1,0

That gives me just under 6 weeks to build myself to the finish because even though this is a great game, it's not going to take precedence over Factorio.

Curious to see what they changed and added for the final release though.

I only play this game in the post-semester holidays, like it's some kind of graduation project. Excited for the toilet update.

I bought this two days ago, it seems quite addicting 🤪

Quick question to others who play this. What graphics API do you use? I run with an Nvidia card if that makes a difference.

DX12 I think. I tested it inside a big factory way back and it gave me a few more frames and fewer issues than Vulkan. Don't know how much difference it makes these days.
Sooo . . . from what people are saying, it seems like this game is quite Satisfactory.

This was very satisfactory in 2022 already. I spent 150 hours with it then..

I haven't played this in a long time. Hmm, September might be when I'm ready again. I'm guessing I'll build like one factory and then be done again as I already have 100 hours in it.
