Necesse is an impressive game but the graphics were a bit on the plain side. This changes dramatically on August 10 with the exciting Graphics Update. Very much a play it as you want it game, a lot like a top-down Terraria even with elements of village building with NPC helpers too with a sprinkle of RimWorld even.

The indie developer Fair Games ApS expanded and pulled in two new artists, and this work has been in progress for at least a year so it's great to see it finally arrive.

Check out how it will look in the new trailer:

That actually looks a huge amount better.

The developer actually announced late last year that it had sold over a million copies, so no doubt this will help pull in even more players new to the world.

Necesse has Native Linux support and is Steam Deck Verified. You can buy it from Steam.

It's a good game.
Graphics were a bit primitive but ok as far as i was concerned.
My main issue was the raids . Difficulty setting would nerf the game too much. And the raids start ok with scrappy bandits , to barely equipped followed by F*ck you attack that kills several hard to get NPCs.

My main issue with Necesse is that there is something misbehaving when it comes to external monitors.

Every time I launch the game on my HDMI screen on my laptop, it crashes hard. Sometimes on the character selection screen, others when playing. If I'm in the middle of a combat, I get killed while the screen gets frozen so, kinda frustrating.
