Ready to go on an adventure? Broken Sword - Shadow of the Templars: Reforged from Revolution Software Ltd is ready to release on September 19. A complete remaster of the original, first in the series, it comes complete with Native Linux support.
This is thanks to their previous Kickstarter campaign where the developer raised £618,626 in funds.
From the press release:
“Point and click offers a simple interface from which captivating, challenging gameplay emerges,” says Charles Cecil, founder and CEO of Revolution Software. “But the user experience has remained unchanged since the ‘90s when Broken Sword redefined the genre. Our research suggested that gamers now prefer a more contemporary experience. Broken Sword has a hugely passionate fan base, which runs over three generations. With these graphic and user experience enhancements, we look forward to hearing from fans once the game crosses over, once again, to a fourth generation who love narrative-driven games.”

Quoting: suchSo, it's back to the original, without the "Director's Cut" changes?I think the original Kickstarter mentioned that those changes might be added at a later date.

would be sad. i do not need these puzzle games for opening a door, but the DC also has some nico gameplay i wanna play
Quoting: pbBetter remake parts 3 and 4 IMO. But hopefully they will get to that, too.It probably comes down to money.
If they sell enough they can expand the process of mixing ai and human work to the other parts of the series.
I like to see a consistent series with high resolution and modern interface across all parts too.
