Some nice discounts on RPGs like:
- Kingdom Come: Deliverance Royal Edition - 80% off
- Disco Elysium - The Final Cut - 75% off
- The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Complete Edition - 75% off
- Dungeon Siege Collection - 75% off

Or maybe you want some Strategy games:

- Stellaris: Galaxy Edition - 75% off
- Frostpunk: Game of the Year Edition - 74% off
- Inkulinati - 60% off
- Manor Lords - 25% off
There's also plenty in the sale you'll only find on GOG too. And of course thousands of others across all genres. Take your pick, I'm just throwing out random suggestions here that look good.
Check out all the deals in the GOG Sale. It runs until September 10th 9am CEST / 7am UTC.
If you need help with GOG games on Linux Desktop and Steam Deck, your best bet is probably the Heroic Games Launcher which recently had some nice improvements.
Quoting: KlaasIt's a shame that The Suffering and The Suffering: Ties That Bind aren't discounted before they will be delisted at the beginning of next month.
I forgot about those games!
The Suffering: TTB is THE first game I played when I got my first ever GPU, the pixel shader effects totally blew me away

I had no idea until I saw your postSometimes there is a stickied warning thread on GOG, sometimes they only post it on their semi-secret discord, and sometimes there is an announcement after the fact.
Kult's collection thread on GOG catalog removals or Games At Risk of Being Removed from GOG's Catalog - Tracking Thread can help. The first thread might be too late depending on GOG and the second thread has a lot of guesses.

I played those on PS2; really enjoyed and finished the first one, but I don't think I got too far on the second one before I got distracted for some reason or other. Not sure if it didn't pull me in as well, or if it was just bad timing.

Quoting: hardpenguinGet on that free Tropico 4 right away! 🌴🌴🌴 It is the best Tropico game (although I haven't played 6 yet).4 is way better IMHO. Everyone should give it a try. It is a good builder with nice humor, cool music and some of the most lovably incompetent characters you could find in a game.
