D.O.T. Defence from Rattleaxe Games plans to launch in 2025 and looks like it will put a nice unique spin on RTS games, with matches you play in short bursts designed for single-player and local multiplayer. Another unique game made with Godot Engine!

More about it: "Welcome to D.O.T. Defence, a simplified yet deeply strategic RTS experience that seamlessly blends accessibility with tactical depth. We offer a simplified economy system, massive automated battles with light command, and a fun simplified upgrade system. Play in short bursts as matches last between 5-10minutes!

The only objective is to protect your HQ and destroy the enemies! Crafted by developers passionate about the genre, this game delivers a nostalgic experience reminiscent of their childhoods."

It's all about capturing little square regions across the map to expand, and defend, so you can push further towards the enemy HQ. You end up with what they call Turret Mayhem, as you defend against hordes of enemies trying to capture your territory with various types of turrets to use. Split across a Wave Defense mode and a more traditional RTS experience in the Skirmish mode it sounds like it could be a lot of fun.

It will support 1v1, 2v2 and free-for-all battles with local multiplayer and battles against AI.

You can follow it on Steam.

Reminds me of Z and that Tooth and Tail. Wonder how it actually plays.
