Looks like the Godot team went all-out for the Godot Engine 4.3 release, bringing this royalty-free open source game engine into a bright future.
Their new release page is certainly more interesting than before! Instead of paragraphs of text, they more clearly show off all the new stuff included (a bit more like how Blender do their release pages). This is probably the most truly professional I've seen Godot seem.
Some really impressive features added in this release too!

Some highlights of the new features includes:
- New audio resources to make complex, layered music and transitions.
- 2D physics interpolation.
- An overhauled visual shader editor.
- General multi-threading improvements.
- More flexible layers for TileMaps.
- New skeletal animation import options.
- Improved pixel art stability.
- Big improvement to Godot's parallax system.
- Project Manager design improvements.
- Depth-based fog now possible.
- Direct3D 12 support.
- A Compositor effects API to let users hook into the built in Godot rendering.
- More Wayland improvements on Linux but still opt-in.
- 2D content renders less blurry in XR.
- Slimmer GDScript project exports with Binary tokenization.
- + lots more. Seriously there's loads.

It's always great to see Godot continuing to make huge changes to become a viable alternative over Unity.

Completely agree! I very much look forward to the day when more crpgs use this engine rather than so many of them currently using Unity.

Ooh interesting, I think I will give them a few maintenance releases as a margin since its been a big release and then I will start playing with the engine for some smol games.

More Wayland improvements on Linux but still opt-in.
Just to be clear, this isn't just "Wayland improvements". Godot now natively supports Wayland! (Though, it is experimental)

I'm quite hyped about the XR updates. Can't wait to play around with them :D

the new visual changelog is an absolute pleasure to read through, and this can actually help more game devs hop into this train
it shows progress, attention to details, openness to suggestions, flexibility, ... dayum!
the improvements, bugfixes and added features look awesome... there's so much stuff going on that it feels like a ChronoTrigger character is sending commits from the future into the current codebase
i also have high hopes for Godot's future after seeing how capable it became in the hands of talented indie devs like Cassette Beasts... that game rocked me off my chair a few times, especially knowing it came from a FOSS game engine like this... Unity3D better not blink
