QuoteOver to you in the comments: what have you been playing lately?Battles against computer-controlled players in Super Bomberman R (Proton). The AIs in that game are smarter than the ones in Super Bomberman R 2, so the battle-mode has proven to have longer legs than I expected it to!
QuoteAnd, what are you most excited about picking up soon? There's nothing on the horizon for me at the moment, unfortunately!

I've been putting a lot of hours on No Man's Sky. Specifically, I've been playing past Expeditions using the offline method, and paused Leviathan just to play the latest one. And considering I'll start a survival playthrough once all Expeditions are done with, NMS is going to be taking a lot of my time.
Also, Time Treker has been fun when taking a day-long break from NMS, and Elden Ring will probably be back on the menu once I'm done with NMS, or maybe I'll start a concurrent playthrough, not sure yet.

I tried doing a playthrough of Dragons Dogma 2, but unfortunately it kept crashing / hard locking my entire system repeatedly, so it was unplayable. Looking online (protondb) there are lots of other reports of this, so I guess the game just needs lots of patches (or just forget about it entirely).
So I have been focusing on Zoria Age of Shattering and having a blast! I think I may be nearing the end, but it's been a super fun game.

I just finished River City Girls (Fun one to play with my wife) and Riddle Joker. I am heading back to Tales of Arise, after getting stuck and giving up for a while.

Played a bit of Vagrus: The Riven Realms. Still not sure yet what I think of it--the walls of text are totally up my alley, but I'm still getting a feel for the actual game.
After some chat here about different iterations of Civilization, I bought Civ IV and gave it a whirl. I concluded I had been underestimating Civ V; I'm not enjoying IV nearly as much as I expected. So now I'm playing Endless Legend instead, which after I got it for free due to a tip here a little while ago has proved really quite fun for me; I'm thinking of grabbing a DLC or two.

I'm playing on desktop Linux, not Steam Deck, but ...
Age of Mythology. I wanted to get it before the remake was released. I am rediscovering my love of RTS games.
When I'm not playing AoM, I am playing short periods of The First Templar, which I got free from GOG, to rebuild my tolerance of 3rd Person POV (1st & 3rd Person POV often triggers motion sickness for me). I rather like the game, actually.

Lately, I've been playing a lot of "Pokémon Unbound", a Pokémon FireRed Rom Hack that rebuilds the game completely from the ground up. Using "MGBA" and "Emulation Station" to load it on the Steam Deck.
It's a fun spin on the Pokémon brand of games. With styling from the GBA days, Pokémon spanning gens 1-7, battle mechanics from gen 8, customizable difficulty, revised HM/TM system, updated visuals and sprites, and QOL improvements. Would recommend if you're a Pokémon fan and looking for a new and refreshing experience.
Friendly reminder to make sure you legally obtain your FireRed game and files before installing this mod. :)
(P.S. - Sorry if linking this mod breaks any rules, I didn't see anything about it in the rules page)
