Well, SoulGame Studio certainly have my attention for their effort on getting Minishoot' Adventures up to Steam Deck Verified. Plus, the game looks really entertaining.
Released back in April 2024, it's a twin-stick bullet hell metroidvania with the adventurous spirit of the first Legend of Zelda. It's gone onto receiving an Overwhelmingly Positive rating from users on Steam so it seems like it's done quite well overall.

After taking a break from the launch, recently the developers released an update to get it Steam Deck Verified that includes these changes:
Smaller changes :
- We rebuilt all UI components that were poorly readable on SteamDeck. Which makes UI more user friendly and accessible for Steam Deck and PC as well.
- We did a final pass on optimization to remove nasty lag spikes and FPS drops. Gameplay on PC is more fluid than ever in epic fights which is especially crucial on SteamDeck.
- We changed the Steam API to make sure Achievements would work for MacOs user as well. Sorry about that, you should be able to redeem your Achievements if you have a save file around (if not you can find one in the forums about lost save).
- Fixed a bug where unique keys were carried over to new games
- Fixed an issue that caused lag and freeze after reloading the game several times. (Many thanks to xcvdgb and Zookster on discord)
- Added the lowest difficulty chosen on the Save slot so you know which Achievement you are eligible to
- Made it easier to skip intro (just press Enter or Escape, or Start on gamepad)
More about it in the developers own words: “We designed a map that would be enticing to discover, similar to a Metroidvania, with lots of connections, shortcuts, secrets, and skills that when unlocked, allow to unfold more paths to explore. All the while facing challenging bullet hell style combat with clean and polished visuals. The ability to drive around the world using a mini spaceship as a living character, allows for fluid navigation overall, making the exploration and backtracking a pleasure instead of a chore. We put all our love for Zelda 1 and shoot'em ups into Minishoot', we hope you'll find it interesting!”
You can buy it on Steam. Steam Deck Verified and rated Platinum on ProtonDB so you're good to go on Desktop Linux too with Valve's Proton version 9.0-2.
Great game. Highly recommended!
Edit: My steam profile says that I played for 14 hours. No regrets!

Quoting: scaineThis is an absolutely superb metroidvania. The "bullet hell" tag is seriously misleading. Yeah, there are bullets, but it's hardly "hell". In fact, the difficulty is perfectly judged, I think. The movement is sublime. And the upgrade system that lets you change your build at the drop of a hat? Amazing. For some reason Steam isn't telling me how I played this for, but again, it's a perfectly judged length, albeit there's a series of "final" bosses which aren't actually the end of the adventure, and I did get a bit bored at the "door challenge" bit - but that's well past the final final... final boss.
Great game. Highly recommended!

After reading that you wrote, this game looks like something up my alley since I like shmups and metroidvania and I'll definitely get it when it hits a price point that I'm willing to buy it.
