PayPalGOG have announced some bad news across two separate announcements, with a total of 29 games that are going to be delisted this month. This means you'll still be able to download them if you own them, but no new purchases on any of them.
The first is from Adult Swim with these games vanishing from GOG on September 30th (time TBC):
GOG said they will "do our best to try and bring them back".
The bigger list comes from Meridian4 where 27 titles will be gone on September 20th at 1PM UTC:

- Red Dust
- Replikator
- Starless
- Strike Force Kitty
- The Dark Prophecy
- The Wizard And The Slug
- Ultragoodness
- Ultragoodness 2
- Ultragoodness Bundle
- Viruz
- Warforwards
- Witchcrafty
Two of those are bundles of the other games. The article originally said it was 31 in total so updated to correct.
For all of those GOG simply said "I can't share any more details about it". That's a pretty abrupt delisting too for the Meridian4 titles, giving only a couple of days notice.
If you've been on the fence about wanting to pick up any of those from GOG, now is the time.
PSA: If our GOG links don't open - blame your plugins. Some browser plugins at some point decided to just auto-close certain affiliate links, the same links we've used for a long time now. They used to give a message asking if you wish to proceed, now some just…don't. You should report the issue to the developer of whatever plugins you're using.

Eh, they are affiliated with the Heroic Games Launcher so thats pretty much as "official" as it gets when it comes to the client i guess.
Personally i'll keep buying my games on GOG , ZOOM , Itch and so on. I just prefer my games DRM-Free.

Can't say I've heard of ANY of these games, so for me its no big loss as most of them sound like shovelware. I've already got one of my favorite game's ever, Lucas Art's Afterlife from there, so I don't need any other games from them. Though Bethesda's Delta V, Terminator Future Shock/SkyNET, and Terminator 2029 would be nice.

Nowadays I often end up not buying games at release (and full price), as I wait and see if they make it to GOG eventually. If it becomes clear they don't, I've either lost interest by then, or buy during the big sales, as a couple more weeks or months of waiting doesn't make a difference anymore. Which means I get my games cheap and in the most polished state ... so maybe I should be happy!?

What does delisting mean in this case. If you own any of these games will they dissapear from your account? Or does it simply mean that you won't be able to see them in the search/store and buy them after they're delisted?

As someone who owns some delisted GOG games like Riddick Assault on Dark Athena, this usually just means you can't buy them anymore.
As for the games being delisted, I don't play favorites enough with games to think of this as anything but a tragedy for game preservation, but admittedly the only one of these games that looks slightly appealing to me is WarForwards and even that looks like it's missing something I can't quite put my finger on.

Most likely case:
The sales were not worth the effort of maintaining the files/updates/etc. on GOG for the developer.
Which I think is very odd, since I strongly doubt any older titles of theirs still received updates...-

It happens on Steam too. But in the end, Steam or GOG doesn't matter, it's just sad for us: the players.

Not GOG's fault either... Guys, of course you can have gripes against the lack of Linux client and so on, but please let's be honest there. When for example a solo game on GOG lacks of Linux/macOS versions, it's clearly the dev/publisher's fault, not GOG, there's no excuse to not upload it when some other achieve it... And yes I hate that too.
Again: unfortunate for the players.

Delisting usually happens not because GOG doesn't like the games, but becasue developers or publishers pull them or something happens to affect rights of the games (like some kind of dispute / legal limbo upstream).
So I doubt there is any point to blame GOG for it. If you want to get an idea, try to dig into those publisher names and see if anything is going on with them, that info might not be completely unavailable.
