4A Games and Zen Studios staying with Embracer Group

By -

Back in March there was the report that Saber Interactive split off from Embracer Group, with them potentially taking on 4A Games and Zen Studios.

Saber already took quite a few studios with them including Nimble Giant, 3D Realms, Slipgate, New World Interactive and various others but we didn't know what was going to happen with the Metro series creator 4A Games and the Pinball FX team Zen Studios.

In a fresh press release update about the sale of Saber Interactive, Embracer Group have confirmed the "cancellation of the option for the buyer to acquire 4A Games and Zen Studios" along with an early payment from the sale.

“We are satisfied with the conclusion of this transaction and very glad to see the great teams and assets of 4A Games and Zen Studios remain within Embracer. They will be important building blocks in our continued journey. 4A Games has currently two AAA titles under development that we eagerly await to announce. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Matthew Karch for his contributions over the years, and at the same time congratulate the Saber team on the successful release of the iconic Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2, that will make a great start in their new structure” says Lars Wingefors, co-founder and CEO of Embracer.
