Bringing together auto-battling and monster-training into a fun mixture, NEODUEL: Backpack Monsters from DiceHit Games and Rogue Duck Interactive releases on September 30th. It has Native Linux support.

Very similar to Backpack Battles, but the monster twist to it seemed interesting from the previous demo I played through for quite a while. Here you have the inventory management side to it but you also have the Cosmions, little monsters you put in your bag that you evolve and fuse to create unique builds to fight with.

“NeoDuel: Backpack Monsters is our ode to the strategy and auto-battling genre. We wanted to create a game where players could experiment with builds, create unique combinations, and play on their own time. The Cosmions add a layer of depth, allowing for a plethora of possibilities in every duel." - Bahadır, lead developer at DiceHit Games.

Main Features:

  • Build Your Dream Team: Select and place your Cosmions to create powerful synergies and defeat your opponents. After each Duel, choose new Cosmions to enhance your team and aim for the win.
  • Challenge Duelists at Your Own Pace: Enjoy asynchronous multiplayer gameplay, allowing you to control the pace of the game. Pause and resume at your convenience, with your progress saved and opponents ready for your next move.
  • Evolve and Fuse Your Cosmions: Use essences to evolve your Cosmions into their most advanced forms and fuse different monsters to unlock unique and powerful creations.
  • Climb the Competitive Ranks: Boost your Elo-ranking by competing against other players and aim for the top in a thrilling, competitive setting.
  • Experiment with Different Builds: Customize your gameplay with unique modifications and upgrades that showcase your style. Explore various tactics and uncover powerful synergies to maximize your backpack’s potential.

It will be available on Steam.
