Hot take: GOG wouldn't be worth it for us Linux gamers if it wasn't for Heroic and the projects it relies on (like gogdl and comet).

Delve in for the titles that are not available on Steam: https://www.gog.com/en/games/tags/only-on-gog

Thanks for the link. Soldier of Fortune is very tempting. I doubt my Loki version launches any more :-(

Does anyone know if the Metro Franchise Bundle comes with Linux-native binaries, or is it only the Windows version?

The original Loki binary still works, except for sound. I'm still trying to figure that part out.

There is no Metro game on GOG with Linux version (or macOS)... It sucks for singleplayer games.

Heroic is awesome, but gog would still be worth it for the drm-free downloads.

The lack a stupid compulsory shop application just to extract the data files for use in an open source interpreter of my choice is a breath of fresh air in the digital purchases space. So is the fact that gog, unlike a certain other shop, isn't blocking access to a third party launcher.

I mean, that, and the fact that it is still a store which sells games that can offer full Linux support.

This is me as well. I don't fuck with launchers at all. I just want the actual game so that I can click and play.

Anything more than that is a no purchase for me.
