KDE Slimbook VI announced with an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS

Slimbook have announced their latest KDE Slimbook VI, with it being shown off during the KDE Akademy 2024 event taking place in Würzburg, Germany.

This is very similar to the previously announced Excalibur that I covered before just with the added KDE branding. Although, they did refresh that model since then with the newer AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS (originally it had the 7840HS). Plus, buying this specific model helps directly support KDE e.V., a registered non-profit organization that represents the KDE Project in legal and financial matters.

Apparently the laptop couldn't even be found from their store earlier by searching it. Seems to be fixed now. There was also some confusion about the actual name of the laptop too but now that has been corrected additionally.

That's a nice piece of hardware at a reasonable price. I wish they would announce a new laptop based on the new Ryzen AI platform though (with Zen5 and RDNA3.5 based 880M).
