Minecraft Live 2024 has been and gone and with it we've been given details on the next new biome and mob coming.

Releasing at some-point in a few months we'll see the Pale Garden biome, along with the new mob the Creaking. The developers said that they wanted to lean more into the scarier side of the game for this one. The Creaking is a mob that only moves when you look away from it, and it looks quite a lot like a tree making it more difficult to see in the dark. Quite a different mob too, since it has a connection to the trees, and you'll need to take down a special creaking heart block to actually destroy them. There's also new special audio for this biome too.

Really love the whole vibe of that biome, good to see Mojang do more like this.

Another nice new feature coming soon is the introduction of Bundles, which were scrapped once before but they're finally becoming a real official thing. It's basically a bag inside your inventory, for you to dump stuff into it to reclaim some inventory slots. Enabling you to go exploring and mining for longer without having to constantly dump items.

See more about that in the below clip, which also goes over the Hardcore mode being added to Bedrock (already in Java):

Bundle idea is neat for those runs where you have to keep discarding those items that you have only 2 to 10 of them to keep the more precious stuff in your inventory.
I get the idea that the devs were watching some Doctor Who recently!
Hey, they added Coilheads from Lethal Company to Minecraft!

(Yes I know Weeping Angels came first. )

There was a time when a creepypasta about Herobrine was enough to scare us. I remember that this made me prefer to avoid the single-player mode
