The Phantom Fellows is a new point and click adventure that follows two best friends who start a paranormal investigation business together, and one of them is already dead. It has Native Linux support, with a demo available and they've announced it's launching on September 27th.

More about it: "Oliver Cobblestone can see and communicate with a dead. Not the dead, just a one Englebert Picklebender who has been in an ethereal entanglement with Oliver for many years. Together they run The Phantom Fellows, a paranormal investigation service that provides the breathers that hire them peace from hauntings, while bringing closure and rest to the floaters who torment the living, and often, themselves."

So does that mean if he's having some steamy time with a significant other he's got this dead dude watching?

The question is: Will this be better than or as good as Darkside Detective?

At first glance it looks similar and obviously the theme is similar as well.

At first glance it looks similar and obviously the theme is similar as well.
It's also similar to the Blackwell games and Whispering Willows.

And obviously a lot of these games are heavily influenced by Randall and Hopkirk (Deceased).

Indeed (although I haven't played Whispering Willows). But it does not look like them, while it closely matches the style of Darkside Detective.
