Dragon Age: The Veilguard is releasing October 31st, and the latest trailer shown off during Sony's State of Play is action-packed.

The game is already Steam Deck Verified with Valve's Proton, so it should hopefully work well. That goes for Desktop Linux too. If it's verified on the Deck, your chosen desktop Linux distribution should be good to go too. That is, unless it needs some silly launch option like God of War Ragnarök.

The latest trailer is mostly a big dragon fight, and exactly what I wanted to see from it, check it out below:

All the DA4 characters look (inc animations/colour/etc) like they came from some version of Fable.

I wish this company was capable of DA:I again, obviously DAI is dated, and rusty but if it was updated with smoother mechanics and less jank, it be 100x better then DA2-3 and certainly 4.

I'll leave this series behind, let the 12yo's play it which seems to be the target audience.

The last great BioWare RPG before they got bought out by EA and run into the ground.
